Synthesis of 2-Methyl-5-nitroimidazoe.

Abstract:methyl 5 nitroimidazole was synththsized from acetaidehyde in three steps of oxidization,Cyclization and nitration with an overall yield of 44%.The advantages of this method are simple technological process,low operation cost and production cost.
