| Synthesis of P-ethylbenzoic acid |

| Abstract：P ethylbenzoic acid was synthesized from ethylbenzene, chloral and hydrogen peroxide. The factors to the reaction were studied. The reaction yield and purity of p ethylbenzoic acid were above 63% and 98%. |
